Sinus Bradycardia
- General information
- A slowed heart rate initiated by SA node
- Caused by excessive vagal or decreased sympathetic tone, MI, intracranial tumors, meningitis, myxedema, cardiac fibrosis; a normal variation of the heart rate in well-trained athletes
- Assessment findings
- Rate: less than 60 beats/minute
- Rhythm: regular
- P wave: precedes each QRS with a normal contour
- P-R interval: normal
- QRS complex: normal
- Treatment: usually not needed; if cardiac output is inadequate, atropine and isoproterenol (Isuprel) are usually prescribed; if drugs are not effective, a pacemaker may need to be inserted (see Pacemakers).

Thanks for all the information here.there are a lot of diseases which cause so much pain and need severe medication.There are also a lot of surgical help that are cures for such diseases.
